I’m not sure that my creative output sufficiently justifies the need for two blogs. Furthermore, advent of summer weakens the appeal of hunching pale and wan over the glowing screen of a computer. Therefore, Crochet is Gay may face summary execution soon, and I’ll just commingle my piles of words and yarn-looped creations and random other things I make.

Here are my recent projects.

Neckties are a signifier for the prevalence of androcentrism. Fortunately, they are easily recodified to mean gender noncompliance, or at least nominal gayness. I quite adore ties on ladies and figured it wouldn’t be too tricky to make my own.

Serious business.

I also made a this bag. None of my felting experiments have been completely successful so far. Instead of shrinking, the yarn stretched as its fibers matted together. It still looks good though, and may be more utilitarian than it was before.
